I think we'll see more of this case shape, probably without seconds at 9, to differentiate it from the 399, in SS. Although not preferable to me, Panerai may put a PIG on it too, like the 425. I would't be surprised with a 47mm, SS case, p3000 rad. That would give you a nice line of p3000 47mm "Hist
I could see 2 potential directions for new case shapes. The first would be a fresh look at the roots of Panerai. Diving. I'd be curious to see what an ultimate diving watch, imagined by Panerai would be. The subs, and Egi stand as historical signposts, but a fresh interpretation of "Diving" could be
I'm glad Panerai decided to make these. I'd consider them to be "relationship builder" pieces in a lot of different aspects; getting to know an AD, or a boutique, or just the Panerai brand in general...They provide a sense of design depth outside of the well known and iconic Lums and Rads. Overall it's interesting to see Panerai build out their vintage re-editions at many different price points. It fe
I wonder how many units will actually make it back to get their movements swapped. Still, time will tell if the future prices of these two potential variants varies much and if one or the other turns more collectible.
I had a similar thought. Firstly, I was a little disappointed at this news. But second, I wondered that if only some of the 150 had undecorated movements, it could turn into a very rare anomaly piece.
Very interesting about the chrono function. Did Panerai happen to explain which part was flawed or causing problems? Just my curiosity in mechanical things.
Hey BluNotte, if you don't mind sharing, could you explain what happened with your watch? Was it a movement problem? I get goosebumps when I think about your extraordinary collection. -Brett
I'd like it as a sandwich dial, white or black face, 12,3,6,9 with a burshed Rad shaped housing. maybe I'll work up a Photochop later. It is Friday after all.
