Would you buy a large Panerai wall clock like this one?

 By: AnthonyTsai : October 20th, 2011-13:52
I have my AP wall clock in my office (size is approximately 16" diameter) so it's a huge clock. I always wished Panerai would make a wall clock this size instead of their current version which is small and uses a wood background. I wished Panerai would ma...

In upscale businesses....yes.

in my former company (I've just retired) not a chance. But I believe there would be, indeed, a number of businesses that would buy a Panerai wall clock. Let's see the next responses... Ciao - Sergio

I would ... if ....

if they costed around 500 € i'd be buying one but they are largely overpriced for a battery operated clock IMO , pitty because if the price would be more down to earth I'm sure many people would buy them and hanging this one out in some places would...

I have the AP wall clocks as well, one was given to me, the rest I bought. And they don't cost thousands!! Usd1-2k okay. Btw, I have friends and Paneristis who have Panarei clocks that are fakes, I don't condone it, thus I do not have one. But they go for...

The retail on the large AP clock is around $4500

 By: AnthonyTsai : October 21st, 2011-10:49
so they do cost an arm and a leg nowadays. If Panerai makes one, it'll cost around the same amount IMO. I believe Hublot's wall clock costs around $6k or $8! Cheers, Anthony This message has been edited by AnthonyTsai on 2011-10-21 10:50:08

Doesn't matter how much it costs to make. It's the branding you're paying for

That's how buying luxury goods work! Cheers, Anthony

Some up close pics of a silver AP clock. They made some drastic improvements in the latest version, including the "3D" mega-tapisserie as opposed to a flat dial. Again, not sure if it's worth the $4,500 retail, but it is a pretty special clock. I saw this...

Actually that's how they want us to think. :-)

I know it is hard to justify what's the true price but I'm sure charging over 50x the cost is pretty much highway robbery. I mean even fakes don't reach that level. Branding & luxury is one thing. Being taken for a ride is another. Then again I can't disa...

I got mine at usd1.5k, the last one in black bought last year.

Unless it's a mechanical watch, there is no way I would pay top $$$ for a design quartz rip-off. For that sum, I would by a JLC Atmos any day. My 2 Asi
