Old catalogs (Part 8) Heuer

Back when it was still Heuer and not TAG Heuer, this must have been a catalog from the late 1970s … about 50 years ago. Not as high end as some of the previous catalogs I posted, but this one is worth seeing just because of the prices. The Carrera, Dayton

Thank you dearly....

In a nutshell, after having a couple of Swatches and Casios as a kid in the 90s, I began my mechanical horology journey in the mid 2000s with a variety of more affordable pieces like the Omega Speedmaster, TAG Heuer Monza, Longines Evidenza, and the TAG H

One of those fairly rare ca. 1968 Heuer Carrera ref. 2447D "Fisher". They were made for ....

Fisher Scientific Corp. and all (the few) "Fisher" Carrera had decimal dials. Cheers, HSTE

NWA… the Skipper has joined the collection!

I have to admit, I’ve been more of a casual observer when it comes to TAG Heuer. The TAG Heuer Autavia and the iconic TAG Heuer Monaco Calibre 11 certainly piqued my interest over the years. But the Autavia wore too large for my wrist, and the Monaco alwa

I like bracelets a lot.

I’ll even go with an aftermarket on certain models like this Heuer Carrera. I like it better on this aftermarket bracelet than on the OEM strap. My collection is about half bracelets and half strap, but I can see myself passing on a watch because I didn’t

TAG Heuer Debuts Track-Ready Carrera Split-Seconds

Layered Transparency The clear sapphire dial reveals the movement beneath, offering a nuanced transparency that is subtly smoked on the chronograph subdials, and creating a striking sense of depth. Two applied counters with red-lacquered accents provide f
