The minutes and seconds hands on the new model is shorter than the old model (to accommodate the pulsometer scale). So it wouldn't just be a simple dial swap...
I finally decided to change the strap on my 1815 Chrono and also get a deployant clasp. I went with a blue alligator strap (it's a really dark blue) and the older style clasp (since I don't like the look of the new Lange deployant clasps). Let me know what you guys think.
I think they should have included a power reserve indicator since this is a manual wind watch with annual calendar complication. The Saxonia Annual Calendar seems like it might be easier to live with (since you can just throw in on the winder when you are not using it).
I have thought about flipping my 1815 Chrono for other watches. But like you I have a sentimental attachment to it. And even to this day I am always blow away every time I look at the movement.
