I have to say that it is one of these rare watches I like in rose gold, and a lot. When I looked at this picture I took at the SIHH, I wondered if it would not be close to perfection with the 2 sub dials perfectly aligned, rather than being a bit under th...

I had never thought about it Nico

but now that you have mentioned it, I totally agree with you. I personally prefer the white gold version with the black dial!! ...

My "main" AD, who's got Lange aswell told me, that they had only 3 of those on order and all of them for the north American market, None for europe. He wasn't able to Show me one because of that. Not Sure where I should try next. So I can't really answer ...

Stunning!

The classic Chronograph dial version of 1815 (original white dial, New Yg black dial, New WG Black Dial) are just perfect chrono. Nothing superlative yet it is simple clean gorgeous. Each are equally gorgeous, difference in warmth, difference in allure, d...

yes but it is not possible because you would need to fully redesign a chronograph movement...

you can note that on the 5170 the two subdials are slightly below the horizontal diameter Fx

Reduce the sub-dial dia

The offset subdials add character, make the watch even a little quirky When it was launched, I suspected that it was an efficient way to fight counterfeiters It is also one of the rare black dial and coloured gold watches that work for me Maybe one day......

Isn't the alignment something to do with making it harder to fake?

Dato is great but just too thick for me ( tell , get a TripleSplit and then complain on the size :-) ) ,TBH I love chronos but never use the complication ,i got three in my collection and not really

want to have more as I said marvelous technology just can t justify the price they command for something not really useful to me ( got the same debate with PCCs too.)

that much intercontinantal rather amazed by its construction/design .

I could live with this chronograph just the way it is

But yes, I hear you: I think I would like it even better if the subdials were centered, if anything at all to allow for the numbers 4 and 8 to reappear on the dial. I wouldn't mind that numbers 3 and 9 disappear altogether. The subdials would have to be d...

For me the subdials are fine...

... but would love if the eaten 3 and 9 were removed.

Personally, I prefer the sub-dial layout just the way it is.

I'm oddly compelled by the sheer eccentricity of the layout, which weirdly feels harmonious when the dial is viewed in its entirety. Judging from the comments thus far, I'm the odd one out though!
