Great shots!

I have thought about flipping my 1815 Chrono for other watches.  But like you I have a sentimental attachment to it.  And even to this day I am always blow away every time I look at the movement.

1815 Chrono Gen II:

 By: willski : August 29th, 2017-05:29
Hi all, Thought I\'d post some pics of my 1815 chrono for no particularly good reason I was, and remain, a big fan of this reference. Slim, white dial, and blue hands make for an attractive package, although it can be seen as a bit too sober. The Dato is ...

Splendid shots and sweet memories related to this timepiece. Easy to understand why you want to keep it

 By: Alkiro1 : August 29th, 2017-05:40
I owned the pink gold version (white dial) few years ago but I didn't keep it. First, I'm not really a chrono guy fan and I needed cash to finance another Lange. Enjoy and wear yours in the best of your health. Best wishes Alkiro

Thanks Alkiro!

I definitely like manual wind chronos, and would like to add more. Only problem is the nice ones are not cheap!

Your front-on movement shot is top top drawer.

wonderful watch and even more special when so many good memories are attached to it.

Thanks for the kind words!

The movement is hard to take bad pictures of.

Congratulations, again, Willis, on your new "edition"!

That watch will have to stay with you with all the emotions tied up in it. And it's an easy one to want to keep.

Thanks Mike.

And indeed, for all those reasons a keeper!

Great watch! [nt]

Great pic of the whole movement!

 By: Joepny : August 29th, 2017-06:05
So this could/should be the generational watch, from father to son; it would be just right. 😀

Haha yes.

 By: willski : August 29th, 2017-07:37
I hope that's the case!

In my opinion

 By: sham1 : August 29th, 2017-06:13
one of the best finished chronograph movements in the market. Wearing it on your wedding day means this watch should always be a part of you

Hi Sham.

 By: willski : August 29th, 2017-07:38
Thanks and agreed and agreed!

No particular reason is needed.

 By: Luis6 : August 29th, 2017-06:15
You should share your nice photos more often 😍

Yes, please keep them coming.

We never get tired of such beauties.

Thanks Zagreb!

 By: willski : August 29th, 2017-07:39
Same goes to you too with your gems 👍

Haha thanks Luis.

 By: willski : August 29th, 2017-07:39
Will try and do so 😁

A more perfect watch I doubt there is...

 By: MichaelC : August 29th, 2017-07:17
It gets no better than this one. Nothing to change about it!

Very well said and I couldn't agree more! I see the 1815 chrono on your son's wrist eventually. God bless!

Thank you!

 By: willski : August 29th, 2017-14:21
I'm hoping to be able to pass on many goodies (as long as he behaves...!)

First photo is the best, and I will give you my reasoning!!!

 By: ik2000 : August 29th, 2017-07:56
We all know how exquisite Lange's movements are, they are the best in the business. However, IMO, what often gets overlooked is the dial side, especially on the 1815 range. I believe it is because these pictures are hard to take, and unless you have held ...

Thank you Imran.

 By: willski : August 29th, 2017-14:22
The first photo is also my favorite, in large part due to the reasons you mention.

Such a great, versatile piece.

Congrat's on your newborn son. The 1815 Chrono will be a wonderful heirloom for him. Cheers, John

Thank you John.

In the meantime...I will be sure to enjoy it!

Memories

 By: NautNut : August 29th, 2017-09:01
The memories you have associated with this watch are invaluable indeed. Enjoy

Memories and experiences are definitely more valuable than material possessions.

 By: willski : August 29th, 2017-14:23
Having said that, material goods also have their fun place

Thanks Nico.

I wonder if and when Lange will replace it.

I have the same thought.

 By: willski : August 30th, 2017-07:22
No point replacing just for replacement's sake; only worth it if substantial progress is made.

Superb pictures, Willski and the reason you chose to wear this watch in 2 most important events in your life says it all 👍🏻👏🏻.

I'm also very tempted to get a nice mechanical Chrono but just cannot decide which one to get. This one speaks to me a lot, if only it comes in Pt...but it will conflict with the Dato. Thanks for sharing these nice photos. Rgds Raymond ...

Thanks Raymond!

 By: willski : August 29th, 2017-14:25
You definitely should get a mechanical chronology - the "glass city" on the backside are a joy to examine. The boutique edition is good looking, and the new WG/black dial is a stunner as well. Also, there's always the Dato!

Thanks Keks!

It's a pleasure to wear, and fun to look at the movement as well.

Breathtaking.

 By: TheWindingStem : August 29th, 2017-13:22
I'm definitely saving up for the 1815 Boutique edition. I was on the fence between the VC Cornes de Vache and the 1815 but the Lange movement is breathtaking.

Thank you! The L951 movement is indeed a beauty.

 By: willski : August 29th, 2017-14:29
The Cornes de Vache is also a great chrono, but I also have a preference for the 1815. Having said that, I saw pictures of a bespoke CdV (I think belonging to Wei Koh) that were really stunning.

Congrats on the birth of your son - you should certainly pass this on to him when the time comes.

Beautiful pics of a beautiful watch!

 By: CR : August 29th, 2017-19:12
I love the clean look of the dial -- the fact that it's not at all busy. I hope you continue to enjoy it!

Thanks CR!

 By: willski : August 30th, 2017-06:13
The simple front and business backside were a big part of the attraction for me.

Thank you mj23!

😁

Great shots!

I have thought about flipping my 1815 Chrono for other watches. But like you I have a sentimental attachment to it. And even to this day I am always blow away every time I look at the movement.

Either you took these photos when the watch was brand new or you take extraordinarily good care of your watches...

 By: Kamy : August 30th, 2017-06:04
Either way the photos are sublime! And congrats on all fronts... Cheers, Kamy

Hi Kamy.

 By: willski : August 31st, 2017-07:11
Many thanks! The 1815 is over 3 years old (or young) now. My bracelet and sports watches have actually taken many beatings and are 'well loved'...but for some reason my strap watches have fared a lot better. I hope I didn't jinx myself here!

I definitely prefer this one to the the dato, it is a pure chrono and much more wearable since its perfect dimensions. This version for me is the best, the blue hands on the white dial are really to die for

 By: Freccero : August 30th, 2017-08:19
Movement wise as always Lange gives its best through the caseback, one could spend hours starring at it. You made a great choice with this watch IMHO. Best.

Thanks for the kind words PP5170G.

 By: willski : August 31st, 2017-07:12
I'm a sucker for blue hands on white dials hah.

Just like me!

 By: Freccero : August 31st, 2017-07:53
Best.

Keep it forever

 By: Gelato Monster : August 30th, 2017-08:24
1815 Chrono is gorgeous. IMHO it is not worth it to trade it with Dato except the Double Split.

Thanks Gelato Monster.

 By: willski : August 31st, 2017-07:13
The Dato and DS are true Lange icons...it's a silver lining for me that the DS is way too big and hence off any potential wish list!
