Vacheron Constantin: VC Overseas Automatic

Hello all, I am really close to buying the VC Overseas Auto/Date in stainless steel with the white dial. I would be buying the watch as a daily wearer to replace my much loved and dependable Omega Speedy. The date on the Overseas would be a great addition and the clarity of the dial/ease with which

Ulysse Nardin: Classico in Steel

Hi everyone, I tried on a beautiful Classico today in Geneva. It was the same as the first picture in Marcus' November 2009 review ( 8156-111-2/90 with silverised dial and gold indices) except that it had a stainless steel case and a black strap. It is a beautiful watch, fantastic fit, very affordab

Girard Perregaux: ww.tc financial

After years of drooling, I finally have funds available to purchase a ww.tc which has been my grail. The model I favour is the 49805-11-255-BA6A and there is a fantastic review of it on this forum. Two questions before I pull the trigger to any owners out there: 1. I have it as a screensaver at work

Jaeger-LeCoultre: Absolutely beautiful..

What a wonderfully beautiful timepiece. I think the way JLC is making the dials less busy and reducing the size of the bezel is fantastic. This looks such a work of art. Nicolas' review of the new Master Géographique had me convinced that it would be my next purchase but after seeing the 8 days...ma

Jaeger-LeCoultre: I was lucky enough

to be in the JLC Geneva boutique this lunchtime but unfortunately the new Master Géographique was not in stock. The Manager was not around and the assistant I spoke with had no idea when it would be arriving or the price. Shame...as it looks so beautiful in the review and I was ready to pull th

Jaeger-LeCoultre: Daylight Saving

Does anyone know why JLC seem to have stopped using the "S" prefix for daylight saving on recent worldtime models? I thought that was a good thing, albeit a bit messy on the dial. Without it, doesn't it mean that reading overseas location time is only accurate for half of the year for those cities w

Vacheron Constantin: Patrimony automatics

I found myself in Geneva recently and visited the VC boutique (currently at a temporary location as I believe the VC building on the "island" is being refurbished) to compare the automatic versions of the Patrimony Contemporaine and Traditionnelle. I had seen them both on the internet and in the VC

Girard Perregaux: ww.tc

I am looking to buy a world time zone watch which will be my first "high end" purchase, having graduated through the ranks of Oris, Longines and Omega. After reading jenniferjanef's excellent review of the ww.tc and receiving her very helpful advice on some of my questions, I was lucky enough to try
