Horological Meandering: One of the nicest GP.

Only problem is indirect small sections, that’s kind of contradicting watchmaking tradition. But if I could afford a GP, this world be my choice.

Independents: Without any specific knowledge about the calendar quadrature of this movement

I would assume that the date setting has no connection to the moon phase. The date is just a separate wheel (two interlocking wheels or a sparingly “jumping date”) that operate independent of the separate gear train driving the moon phase.

Horological Meandering: In my opinion top of the pops - as I said, you have to go “big four” to find and equivalent today.

I also took a picture of the actual watch Based on movement serial number I figured out this was one of the last ones - mid 50s.

Horological Meandering: A picture of some parts

Blued hands, Centre wheel with polished shackles, facet polished shaft ends, an extremely nicely finished balance shaft, the lift arm/spring special to this movement, mono-metallic screw balance with auto compensating flat hairspring and an escape wheel cock that looks like a Madonna sculpture.
