Hi. This is totally unacceptable, I have 3 Reversos nothing like this. I suggest you go back to the dealer and ask for a replacement. These days if you have been following on this forum and others that there are quality issues with JlC.

The gator straps are not an issue I have them on my JlCs it’s the satin leather that’s the problem. I understand some of the straps use to be made by Camille Fournet earlier

My wife has a duo face reverso that came on a purple satin strap. The strap simple crumbled in a few months. Then I replaced it with another satin strap and the same thing happened. The strap is basically leather lined with satin on the top. My wife wears the watch about 20 times a year and there is

IWC: good and bad

This is what I say, a watch made painstakingly has an applied moon and stars or embossed moon and stars, gold plated and well finished as in this case, unlike some very expensive brands who do a screen print.
