I enjoyed your in-depth review very much.

Like you, I find the 5235 appealing (and I share your love of the 5098), but I've only been able to see the R version in person so far. Your review makes me want to see the G someday even more than before. Best, Emmanuel

Like you, I am not the biggest Patek fan. Only a few watches please me, and a lot, like the 5110P, the 5100, the 5070, the 5970, the 5960, and a very few others.

I much prefer some of their older references. As for this 5235, I am not a fan at all. The dial is full of holes. But it is just my personal taste, my friend. And I totally understand that some others can be very pleased with this one. Best, Nicolas

Annual Calendar Reguator 5235G: an undervalued gem?

Let me be frank: I’m not a huge fan of Patek Philippe in general. (Ducks a barrage of rotten fruit.) Before you start flaming, let me tell you that I enjoy the level of finishing Patek applies to its higher end products and appreciate the quality of the b

Patek Philippe 2583J

A rare one it seems as I believe less than a few hundred in any metal of this reference were produced in the mid to late 50s. The likes of the 2526 actually made in larger numbers, around 2000. Only a few 2583 seem to have turned up at auction these last

I think the 5235 is the closest thing to a smaller 5236.

In shape and proportions, they're almost identical. The movements are related. But the difference in dials is night-and-day. Still, the 5236 would be my choice despite its larger case. Preowned value on this model is an excellent development for folks who

Timeless, powerful and outstanding. No 08/15 Patek.

My dear friend, I have made some research because I find this watch fits so perfectly to your style. What I’ve always found fascinating about the 5235 is how different it is within the „Patek universe“. Now I have learned that it actually was the first ti

Honestly, I have been struggling with horological fatigue

I’ve been looking for something different, something that stands out above the crowd. I am extremely happy with my new acquisition. I believe our good friend Emmanuel has made an excellent review so there’s not much else to say. Thank you for looking. All

Ah! Great I didn’t realize you had one.

This reference shares the Padellone case with the 3448: www.watchprosite.com I really like the 5235, but not to the point of wanting one and I like the 3448 even more! Best, Emmanuel

Ref. 5235: White or Rose gold?

Patek Philippe 's Annual Calendar Regulator was launched in 2012 with a white gold case, ref. 5235G-001 . This initial white gold model was discontinued in 2019 and replaced by a rose gold version, ref. 5235/50R-001 , which is still in the current catalog
