Dear Rishi, with the clear briefing that you mentioned i.e…

Hobnail bezel, no date, crown guards, smaller size Roman numerals… I believe no other ref ticks all boxes apart from 5115 😉 On top of that I believe the caliber 215PS fits better in the 5115 than in 5116 as the seconds subdial looks better balanced on the

Dear Rishi,

I have been looking closely at the three references 5115, 5116 and 5119. While each has its charm, I wonder if I don’t prefer the 5116: I think the welded lugs would work better for me here than the case shape of 5115 with “integrated” lugs and crown guar

Choosing a calatrava....

Its never easy to choose or pick 1, as there are just so many references! I guess the way to go about it is to follow a flow chart approach, and be cognisant of the fact that not every detail you want, is carried by a single referrence. The 3796dj, althou

It's very nice. Although the "Email" on the sapphire glass seems like it's overdoing it.

Personally, while I like the Patek 5116G which has "email" written on the bottom of the dial to signify the enamel dial, I'm not sure I like it like this, so far up. Being on the sapphire glass is also a funny thing - I personally don't mind watches that

Live report on the new reference 6007G

The only picture with all four versions together The new reference 6007G is perhaps the most important release in the collection for many reasons. Its accessibility compared to the other new releases at lower price point and "younger looks" as Patek tries

Thanks for some nice wristshots of these beauties, Thomas! Let me just point out that while the 5120 dial was lacquered rather in enamel, you might be interested in the stunning ref. 5116...

It was offered in both R and G, with a gorgeous enamel dial (it also overlapped with the 5119 in the catalog, and I remember the difference was quite visible between the two, at least side by side!). Obviously, not many 5116s were produced, but some still

I had one of these back in days and then gifted the watch to my business partner and since then I was unable to find myself another one . After 5 years of searching I finally managed to find one with a second hand watch dealer and immediately snapped one

Getting into the Patek world

So I've always wanted to get a Patek since I started my journey in the horological world. Back then my choice was between VC 85180 rg and Patek 5119R, I bought the former as I think it's much more to my taste than the 5119. Fast forward I've learned so mu

A great achievement!

Congratulations on your 25th anniversary! You would like to consider two watches since your husband likes the watch with a hobnail bezel in rose gold and with a visible movement- the 5119 and 5116. The difference between the two is the 5116 comes with an

*** UPDATE ***

I visited the AD this morning and was skeptical going in. I had almost talked myself out of the Nautilus. I tried it on and was sold. Why? 1. The blue/black dial in person is so much better than any picture I've seen. 2. The light nature of the watch and
