Patek Philippe

A great achievement!

Congratulations on your 25th anniversary!  You would like to consider two watches since your husband likes the watch with a hobnail bezel in rose gold and with a visible movement- the 5119 and 5116. The difference between the two is the 5116 comes with an enamel dial ie a dial that will retain its appearance through eternity and has been baked in temperatures exceeding 800 celsius to attain its lustre.  The 5119 has a lacquered dial and at first glance, it is actually impossible to tell the difference between both dials.  The unfortunate thing is that both watches have been discontinued so it would be difficult to buy this watch new.

In terms of pricing, the enamel dial watch will command a higher second hand value than the one with the lacquered dial. It is also a lot rarer.  Due to the forum's laws on pricing, please PM me if you would like a further insight on pricing.  There is a new Calatrava in rose gold, the 6119 but this is 3mm larger with longer lugs so it will wear a lot larger on your husband's wrist.
