Collecting has many aspects.

From one brand collecting to one model collecting or from vintage to modern or from vertical to horizontal or you name it other tens of collecting styles. Quality and the quantity are always a matter of taste but for me, diversity is coming first and I can say that ı am ok with mine.

How 'special' or how 'overrated' is a unique dial ??

Take this as an example, a 5970 with a unique dial But that is just the same case, movement, level of finishing .... everything 100% the same except the dial ofcourse Now .... Trip to 1916….

I've been in Miami all week for a work thing and had some meetings strategically close to the 1916 store. the standout piece for me was definitely the De Bethune JPS diver. In the Antiquorum auction held today in Hong Kong,

the Patek Philippe 5089G with the enamel Rousseau Lion was sold at HK$2,400,000 (excluding buyer's commission). It's a rare one out of 6 pieces made. Congratulations to the winning bidder. My humble Swatch watch next to the image.
