Horological Meandering: My go to idea here has been

a serviced Explorer 1016 or GMT 1675.

Horological Meandering: We’re definitely entering a cold market

It’s not just the auctions, either. Vintage dealers are struggling to move any pieces with condition below 10 out of 10. Some great opportunities if you’re comfortable with service parts or sub-perfect condition.

Rolex: Wow - these photos really sell it to me

I'd never considered the Monte Carlo before seeing these pics. Gorgeous.

Independents: Extremely well said, especially the point on opportunity cost

Even an entry-level independent three hander - think Moser Pioneer or Ferrier Classic Origin - competes on pricing with a Jaeger-LeCoultre Duometre.

Independents: Fantastic point Brandon

I can imagine some of the names on that list: Kudoke, Habring, Dornbluth & Sohn, Benzinger. But who else might you include on it?
