The Classique 3757 uses the calibre 558QP, which has the same base movement (calibre 558) as the Classique 3350/3357. Confirming with a photo of my 7037 as well. As others have said, I imagine it was placed there to ease the job of the watchmaker. The Naked Watchmaker has a deconstruction of the 7097 (the updated 7037) with lots of photos. Perhaps someone can figure it out using the information there. -Prachi

It was commissioned in 1890 by John Spencer-Churchill, the 7th Duke of Marlborough, who was Winston Churchill’s grandfather. Breguet made a replica of the watch for the film The Darkest Hour. Thanks for your response. That makes sense. If the numbers are ascending but some are skipped, then at least you have an upper bound, that is, the 109th is at most the 109th produced, if not earlier.
