Good plan. Nice to drop in and say I bought this grey and saved a small fortune! Thanks for not letting me buy it, dodged a bullet there lol. Their loss..
Yeah that’s really poor and definitely not the case as I was offered a 5270p salmon dial before discontinued from a different AD. They didn’t check previous purchase history with the other AD just informed it was available when enquired. Should not be an application piece for sure. Even if so, you d
It’s certainly a shame as these AD practices really sap the joy out of the experience of watch collecting. Even though we could go market to purchase something, losing AD relationship then being told to start from scratch from other ADs when enquiring about possibility of still being considered for
It’s similar with those who have recently lost their AD as Patek has cut the relationship with them. You are back to square one and told to buy a bunch of watches if want chance of an application piece. There is no letter offering an alternate AD you can continue with, no thank you for your custom o
Sadly!.. They should reuse the 5224r case (about the only thing I like about it) and reboot calatrava with some some Wenger classics like this with a new movement. It will be a hard task making anything as special as these however with some of the best and most elegant over finished automatic moveme
I wish the day and month windows being left aligned and right aligned rather than centred (between the 10-11 and 1-2) didn’t bother me so much but unfortunately it does. Not everyone’s thing but I really like the 5235G regulator with the lovely vertically brushed dial. Such a different piece and for
Always makes me happy seeing people wearing and enjoying these pieces not fretting about getting a mark on it. Sure it would make any watch fans day just seeing something like that out and about in the wild. I know it would mine.
It’s a beauty. Much prefer the 116500 panda to the new one too. The sub dials just look much better. Conversely prefer the new 126500 black dial to the old one for same reason. The sub dials remind of the 16520 zenith plus the bezel edge give it that nice 4 digit vintage look.
There is also the 5594 before the 25594. It had a short run I believe and also came in two tone and all yellow gold. It has the 2124 movement before the 2224 came out. The dials were hand made by Stern.
