Horological Meandering: Would probably go for a VC or Patek thin dress watch..

And send it back to get restored by the manufacturer.

Patek Philippe: I tried on a 6119R today.

When the sales lady started probing my interest level,I demurred. Then she told me the one I was trying on was just an “exhibition piece” and she couldn’t sell it anyway. Nothing in the case or anywhere said it had been sold and it had a complete working movement — not like those nonfunctional Rolex

Horological Meandering: I think its funny how the British moved the prime meridian..

About 20’ when they got a new telescope at the observatory and it didn’t fit in the old building. So they built a new building next to the old one and moved the prime meridian so it went down the middle of rhe new telescope mount. 😂

Rolex: Yep, link works

My heart sank when he started sanding the case, though. Would have left it the way it was

Vacheron Constantin: Let’s not forget that

VC does inside corners on the anglage. To my knowledge this cannot be done by a machine.
