Jaeger-LeCoultre: Very true

It is a great piece and I loved the alarm function. I’d use it frequently in my studio, while painting, to remind myself to take breaks. Though ultimately the alarm and date crown always seemed to argue with each other. After having it serviced too many times I parted with it. Would welcome somethin

Officine Panerai: Totally agree

Put mine on to a jean rousseau goat skin strap this week. It was originally made for my 338, so it is a touch narrow. But with the wire lugs I enjoy it.

After a little negotiation at the NYC boutique, I was finally able to pick up this new reversed goat skin strap.

IWC: Just went through the same dilemma

Hey Bob, Funny to see your post. I just went through the same dilemma between the ceramic chrono 44.5mm and the 41mm ceratanium. F.P. Journe: Optimum shooting

It is a wonderful watch and somehow still under rated. It seems to be a watch he could have only made after getting the other watches out of his system. Shot these in the studio with a macro Leica M set up.

F.P. Journe: Waiting for mine to arrive

Went to the boutique to try this one on again for size. Last time I had it on my wrist we were all a little over served. Wanted to be sure I still liked it. I do.

F.P. Journe: Havana shots from NYC

Journe asked me to photograph the watch when it came out to see how it worked with different backgrounds. I wore the watch for a few weeks and enjoyed shooting it in the studio. Some shots with the Leica and the others with an iPhone.

Independents: Lighting suggestion

Try to use a natural lighting set up like you can see in a Vermeer painting. It comes out looking like this…
