Jaeger-LeCoultre: Correct OEM springbar diameter for Reverso Tribute 1931?

I just obtained an OEM strap for my GRUT 1931. 1.8mm diameter springbars do not seem to fit, they are too fat to go into the plastic strap inserts. Am I correct in thinking that this strap requires the use of 1.5mm diameter springbars? I'm really looking forward to having the original type strap on
