That is simply amazing...a lucky chap he is. I'll take it as a good omen for my own quest. Thanks for the information.

Patek Philippe: Need some advice!

Friends - am getting ready to think about my next Patek. I currently own a 3970 white gold, black stick dial as well as a 3450 yellow gold, reverse tumbled date digits dial. Among the options I am considering are 3448 yellow gold, 2497 yellow gold, 2499 yellow gold, and 5050 platinum roman dial. Ide

Patek Philippe: Update on 3970

An update: After getting thru the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, I stopped by the Patek Service Center (Henri Stern) in NY yesterday. They were very helpful (as always). They fully checked out the watch. In their opinion the watch is fine and the recent service they performed is fine. The second hand

Thanks, everyone. I will head over to HSNY on Monday afternoon (with my service receipt) and have them take a look and hopefully make any adjustments. Will update on what transpires.
