Friends - am getting ready to think about my next Patek. I currently own a 3970 white gold, black stick dial as well as a 3450 yellow gold, reverse tumbled date digits dial. Among the options I am considering are 3448 yellow gold, 2497 yellow gold, 2499 y...

As a serious collector with 3970 and 3450, how come you need to ask others' opinions? I think many of the aficiandoes here could not attain the holy grails you own. Having said that, I would choose a 5050 as the retrogarde complication is not in your curr...

Thanks. Am also leaning to the 5050 but still debating. Was struggling most with whether to build out what I have deeper down the perpetual route or the perpetual chrono route. Wrt to your question, I always value the opinion of others, especially knowing...

the most beautiful perp/chrono I have ever seen - the 2499YG in whatever series. That's just my personal opinion. :) cheers fernando

I personally like chronos and nothing is more elegant, sporty and masculine than a PP perp chrono. A plain perp is nice too, but a man's man needs to time things accurately. Plus, if you don't know what the date and day is, without your watch, you got big...

....... in terms of choices. Whatever is available for your picking, i would pick the one which is the most complete, meaning box & paper, and if possible, an un-touch case. with the sharpess lugs, strong hallmarks, unwashed dial. AT this very moment,...
