Lange do make changes on the lugs, but it does not mean the "new" designs are lovely. Check out the enclosed photo for different models. I'd say I love the long lugs.

A. Lange & Söhne: Maltese cross is something representing the wisdom that people used simple method to overcome material issue.
Although it's no longer a must, I still consider it to be a shinning point of Datograph. So is the screwed balance wheel.

Don't try it at home! I meant that when I feel the resistance, I don't dare to push further (as the depth required by resetting the hands). But it did feel like it's possible to push it deeper. If I got a chance to meet Robert by myself again, I would ask him to confirm, and demonstrate to me.
