…modifying an extra screwdriver similar to the way you suggested and, then, I was able to back the screw piece out: So, case solved. Thank you!

Patek Philippe: Many thanks, Anthony, but…

…I ended up removing a coupla bridges and pressing the dial foot out from the front of the plate: I'll have to sort out the remaining bit o' screw that's still lodged in the plate, but, at least, now I can repair the watch's original problem and complete the overhaul. Thanks again for your input!

Patek Philippe: Best way to remove the threaded portion of a broken dial screw?
