3970 or 5270. A lot of information on the dial but somehow the layout is better. I have given up on getting a perpetual calendar from Patek; I will skip it for a perpetual chrono.

Same with Rolex. At this point you are better off going grey market. It will be cheaper in the end. Sad but true: the grey market is the way to go for most hot watches.

Horological Meandering: Last time this happened, it was 2 different watches on the same day! Never thought I would like these two.

I tried two Patek on the same day, literally one after the other, both for the first time. The Nautilus 5712A and the first regulator. Which is not very good, what you describe is acceptable in my opinion. Most brand do not return parts from service. This is to avoid feeding the Franken watch market. Only Longines return parts from my Dad’s vintage model. The fact that the bracelet was upgraded is in line with what PP did with the
