WristScan: Father's Day in England

My father kindly gave me this watch when I was very young. It is precious to me, so I don't wear it often, but when I do, it gives me great pleasure. My favourite memory of the watch is from when I was 7 or 8, and my father would flip the watch over to the mirror side when I wasn't looking, and then

WristScan: Nato Black-out

In my first post this time last year, I gave details of the JLC Gran'sport reverso. While choosing this watch, an explorer was on the short list. Since then, I have added an explorer black-out to my collection as a gift from my parents. I have always loved the explorer for a number of reasons; its c

Jaeger-LeCoultre: My first post....my first watch

I appreciate that I am fairly young to have such a beautiful watch, but I wanted to share with you my first proper watch and the process that led to it. I have been lucky enough to be bought a "special" watch from my parents. I was asked to do my own research for the watch within a specific budget.

Patek Philippe: Dicontinuation of 3970?

I would be interested in what other members of this forum think/know about the possible continuation/discontinuation of ref 3970. I was told by several dealers (including an official PP dealer in Switzerland) that 3970 will be replaced by 5970 (i.e. the larger size chronograph introduced in Basel).

Patek Philippe: Any 3940P or 3970P out there?

Does anybody know an official central European PP dealer who currently has a 3940 Platinum or 3970 Platinum or 3970 Rose Gold in stock? I am desperately looking of one of these watches. Any feed-back is highly appreciated! Thanks.
