Somehow I just missed your reply which does give me some insights! Thanks for that! I don't use winder. So when you manually wind your watch (in either direction of winding the 3 o-clock crown, right?), the power reserve pointer does really move?? In the owner manual, it suggests to wind 10 turns be

Patek Philippe: We both had a happy Christmas

I believe we both got our PPs at about the same time. I was also lucky enough to have picked up my 5712/1A from local HK AD. Some weeks later when I visited the same shop, there's nothing left! Congrats with your new watch! Let's all wear ours in good health!

As for manual winding, the way you put it sounds clockwise to me (i.e. thumb moving away from me). However, there's some saying the otherwise...specifically for 5712. patek.watchprosite.com is what I am getting confused! Thanks for your input!

The question listed above is understating my real problem. Of course I have read the manual, but still I am not 100% sure how I should take care of the watch delicately. The manual says, when the watch comes to complete stop, you have to wind it for 10 turns before any adjustment. 1st question: The
