the Seiko, why do you need a Rolex? I am not pro or con for getting a Rolex, but you should buy it only if you really like it (and afford it). If spending $8K is a big deal for you as it is for most people and you feel you may regret it, then you are not ready to buy this watch. But if it's somethin
Thank you for the pictures. I really like the look of this watch. Just have 2 questions. Do you know the thickness of the watch? I would assume 12-13mm based on other JLC chronos. Do we a price estimate yet?
I was looking at the JLC site. There is another MC Chrono shown under the 2012 models. I have not seen any pics or mention of this one. Is there an updated chronograph already?
I've always liked the 1950's case, but the thickness was always the issue. The 44mm diameter was not the issue. 44mm Rads seem small too me because of the thickness or lack of.
I love the color of the eggshell dial on this model. Very classic looking. I have the black dial 4946 and the date window really doesn't bother me as it isn't so obvious. Was this a sportier edition of this line with the brushed bezel and solid caseback?
I normally am a fan of the black look and I love chronographs, but there is something not in sync with this model. Perhaps it's the contrasting metal on the pusher/crowns, I'm not sure.
I love the cream dial on your 4946. I have the black faced one myself. I have all numeral indices on my piece and you have some arrow shaped indices. Were there 2 versions of the 4946?
Does anyone have the production numbers on the 1999 vintage chrono (4946)? I picked up a black dial version second hand and I was curious to know how of them are out there. I didn't see any in my search.
this news is making me love and hate the watch at once. I really like the look of this piece and would pick one up on release, but i have been earmarking my savings for a 233. now my plans are muddled as I cannot get both which is making me hate this news.
