Patek Philippe: It is exquisite

I tried this on at my AD a few years ago. I adore this watch: the size, weight, complication (240Q is an horological classic and a true marvel). The white gold has a color and sheen that is subtly different from steel in a way that once you see, you cannot unsee. Sigh, I will never own this watch, i

TimeOut: Great library

and as a librarian I appreciate the well curated book collection, too (Oakeshott, Kant, Rawls, Nozick . . .).

which I think is the blue/green and the larger size. Looks great, IMHO. If you go smaller size, I might go with black. Either way, you win, because it’s such a great watch.

Horological Meandering: Link here, Not a great photo, but it’s my chrono. Recommend the video I shared for visuals as well as context on the ALS Chronograph.

Horological Meandering: I agonized over this

and decided to go with a first gen ALS Chronograph, which has a more traditional looking dial (which is what I most preferred about the CDV). I was persuaded by watching this collectors interview, see 25:25 mark. https://youtu.be/lV5twisWQ0U?si=xGLQtZjayLAqAVit

Patek Philippe: Congratulations!

This is a beautiful Patek chronograph, and it sounds like you found a nice example. I’ve long wished to add a black dial 5170 to my collection, your post may inspire me to get one in the near future.

Patek Philippe: Agree with the melted comment

but also noting that well-worn Nautiluses like this look great.

Horological Meandering: Finally!

Some Timex Ironman love. As iconic and important as the G-Shock IMHO, and deserves the attention and praise.

Kant is a hero of mine. Maybe you will do Goethe or Kierkegaard next?
