Rolex: smart watch...meh

The moment Rolex does smart watch is the same moment I sell off mine and stop buying from the brand for good.

Officine Panerai: Scratch-proof but more brittle

I read from numerous reports that ceramic, while indeed has much stronger scratch-proof property than steel, is actually a lot more brittle as well. Unfortunately, this downside is not something usually discussed when it comes to this material. I do recall seeing another post here with a cracked Cer

A. Lange & Söhne: When I was 20...

When I was 20, I was happy to get a Swatch. The fact that you're on to ALS at your age, lots of respect mixed with envy. It's the kind of piece and appreciation that put you well ahead of your peers...heck I only started to appreciate mechanical timepiece in my 30s. Haute Horology brands like ALS or

A. Lange & Söhne: Sweet dilemma

This is the kind of problem I would love to have ^^ Personally, I would choose a Lange 1 Timezone in either White Gold or Platinum. It's a personal thing but I'm not a big fan of yellow gold. Lange 1 Timezone is actually my next goal (fingers crossed) after tremendous amount of research (the process

Cartier: More thoughts on water resistant

For me, any decent watch from reputable company with at least 30m water resistant rating will be good enough to handle your described condition. I'm in Bangkok myself so the condition here is very similar to yours. What I find to be a bigger issue in this hot/humid climate is leather-based strap. I

Jaeger-LeCoultre: I would love to see it!

Thanks for sharing your story. I can't wait to see the photos. I never knew that the JLC Grande Reverso GMT has limited edition, and only 4 at that...not to mention the story. Now I keep wishing I was one of those 4. You're a lucky man.

Glashütte Original: Thinner bezel also?

I was at a local AD couple days ago. My understanding is that the bezel is slightly thinner than the previous one? Also has newer/better clasp system (with nicer more flush/rounded release button)

Glashütte Original: A homerun!

I was mulling over the Senator Worldtime (in comparison with other GMT/worldtime pieces in similar price range) when Glashutte just obliterated that reality and created the new benchmark for me to strive for. How many months (more like years?) do I need to save up for this awesome tour-de-force? Pro

Rolex: sky high expectation...letdown reality

What a let down. This is its best angle. I wanted to like it so much since I'm always a sucker for GMT/World Time function...Annual Calendar is a big plus. Sadly, the design just looks so awkward, there are no other way of putting it. I'm quite certain that many people will have a big beef with that

Rolex: Pilot + GMT

Is it possible that Rolex is introducing a new line of Pilot watch with GMT function? That inverse triangle sure looks like the same marker use in all other pilot watch out there albeit with slightly different coloration.
