Hi All, After seeing 2026 novelties in the metal, my take on the general direction of Patek is that

innovations continue while balanced with more colorful dials and straps to bring in younger collectors. The average age of Patek collectors is around mid to late 40s. As Cubitus was created with a younger crowd in mind, I see this strategy continuing step

For whatever reason, I'm personally not bothered at all

by the round movement and round design (with “corners”) of the dial. In fact I like this design, which makes the watch look like an augmented circle. Patek has used the total real estate of the cushion shaped dial on other references like the 5940, but I'

As always a perpetual calendar for the turn of the year 😃

With the 5940j I'll wear one of my favorite acquisitions in 2025. A watch with which the honeymoon never really ends 😉

The 5940 is a lovely watch, but you are correct about the hands...

...they are not the traditional 'leaf' hands. They are similar to the 5950A, but I think they look better on the 5950A. Japanese special editions are usually very beautiful and interesting as long as the price isn't too high.

I am also very attracted to tonneau-shaped models, but I have not been able to find a reference that really fits my needs.

All photos except the first one are taken from various sources. Thank you. This is a 5940j that I once owned. I bought it because I was very attracted to the tonneau case and the cream-colored dial. However, the main reasons I ended up selling it were tha

In general I like all these classic PCs from PP

But in my eyes the 5327 is oversized and a bit out of proportion. Only 3940, 5040 and 5940 have a date ring with similar sized numerals. But only the date numerals of the 5940 have this beautiful romantic typeface. In combination with the breguet hour num
