This is the nicest 5204 in my opinion

The tachymeter improved the aesthetics eg the hr indices from 10-2 isn’t awkwardly long now Chrono secs and mins are now Color matched Date fonts resized to be consistent with 27 and 5 and the leap year and day nite indicators moved to the subdials.. and

I completely understand your hierarchy here.

I’ve never tried on a 5004, but I’ve tried on a 5204 and the thickness didn’t feel right on my wrist. Best, Emmanuel

The new ref. 5204G-010

If I'm not mistaken, this is the second white gold variant of the Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar Split Seconds Chronograph ref. 5204 . The previous one was olive green (see below), the new one features a sunburst navy blue dial with red chronograph han

Great write up Gordon of a truly very special W&W for Patek. For me one of the very best in recent years, even going back to the Basel shows.

So many novelties to like/love, including the fabulous automaton, the ground breaking new Celestial (both in complications and design), daring and beautiful new dial colors (eg the lacquered dial 5270Ps), 5227G salmon, exceptionally sporty and beautiful b

For me the most aesthetically and technically exciting are the 5249R automaton, the blue and red lacquered dials 5270P and the new 5204G (love the blue/red).

The ultra thin Nautilus with iconic 240 movement and no date or second hand is quite interesting, but this is a “limited” (?) edition of 5,000 pieces….. yes, 5,000! Was hoping for a steel version…. Oh well. Need to see these Nautili in the metal and on my

Unmistakable Trend

6105G – fascinating technical concept, disappointed it's styled as an AP sports watch 5322G – nice (but everything is blue and green dials now) 5840P – very nice if you appreciate Cubitus (I do, didn't at first) 5249R – beautiful…at a very high price 7047

Well spotted!

The new split seconds perpetual calendar 5204G is to die for! Amazing! On the other hand, the new Cubitus perpetual calendar looks like a radiator I remember from my grandfather’s apartment.

Thank you so much for your detailed thoughts

and owner’s feedback on these watches. You obviously know them much better than I do and, as the 5204 fits your wrist perfectly, I guess there’s indeed no reason to prefer the 5270. All I can say is that during this try on experience, the 5204 didn’t feel

5204 for me

I traded in my 5270G-001 to raise funds for my first 5204(R-011) and have never looked back. The 5204 fits me so well I have added another to my collection (5204G-001) and they are both in my daily rotation. No issues with fit on my wrist at all. 40mm cas
