Indeed.

That inline six diesel was a work of art. The tuner advised me not to do too many 0-100 Kmh stretches because the ZF could easily blow up because of the excessive torque. There was the option to install the M6 version, which was more resilient but the pri

Along the way, I've owned a few Mcars...

Starting with the original M5, Black Bart, then an M3, M6, and a M5. I took a MX5 for a test ride and Oh brother what a SUV ;-) My M6 was black with grey leather and the best looking by far

Nice turnout of a small town Coffee and Cars

Finally the weather is less wet and the local groups are able to organize the gathering. It is good to see all ranges of automobiles and automotive fans. Enjoy and Happy long weekend if you celebrate 4th of July. No surprise there are not many watch fans

Exactly so!

The 850 CSi (I think they were all manuals?) was extra special and then there were the Alpinas! What a feast for the eyes but in today's world those headlights are pretty inadequate. It was fun to drive a CSi back-to-back with the M6. A big change between

I think the model number followed the engine and the engines were based on the country/market.

ROW=M88=M635csi US=S38=M6 The US engine was down a bit on top end power and compression but made better low end torque. The M88 was wonderful but it didn't make its full potential in the US with relatively low octane gas. It would ping on 91, needed 93/94

Beware the long test drive!

My wife seems to have settled on my next birthday present. This 1988 M6 could pass for new. Kent

What's not to love with a BMW M Car

I would take my black M6 on our local interstate early Sunday mornings and run the one length that had plenty of twisties and a couple of off camber corners.. What a blast

Agree, colors and sign are nonsense

They all look like the same, M2, M3, M4, M5, M6... (like audi). 😞😟😣😖 I still remember when the the 4 exhausts were the trademark of M series and you could spot each of them 😍😍😍😍😍 In an era when every manufacturer tries to be unique, a flat design is their

Agreed. Everything since those Bangle-era BMWs don't seem to push the envelope enough.

I like the front of the new 5 series, but the back hasn't won me over yet. And a car that really starts to sing to me now is the Bangle era BMW 6 series with its generous proportions and long hood. I'm starting to really like that rear end that looks almo
