That inline six diesel was a work of art. The tuner advised me not to do too many 0-100 Kmh stretches because the ZF could easily blow up because of the excessive torque. There was the option to install the M6 version, which was more resilient but the price was outrageous.

This brand hit their pinnacle many years ago, at least for drivers who crave character and emotional machines. Sadly, they don't make new cars with such attributes. I guess the same can be said for many other brands too.
I stopped looking at BMW when they moved from the E chassis.

I'm not surprised by the price of the low miles car on BaT. They just do not make cars like this anymore. I do have bias towards my Blackwing being the closest thing available, but surely in a much heavier, brutish package.
