I would buy the 232....

it's timeless elegance, will never tire you. The tobacco dial is IMO one of the best ever produced. I had one and let it go ONLY to gift it to one of my nephews that likes Panerai as much as I do. That being said the Panerai Composite material, with which

I'll answer your, dear Abel....

it's a PAM339 composite. A very controversial model, forbitten from being sold in Italy and sold only on overseas market. At that time the exclusive right to Marina Militare, belonged to another watch manufacturer (Lochman)....ooops Or this, at least, is

What do you mean....

....by "but there are few for sale"? the PAM127 is a limited model produced in 1950 pieces. Thats' a LOT of pieces produced, of course there are...always....few for sale on several platforms. Also the PAM375 although produced in a very small number is als

Yes, only 2 with the 1950 printed on the dial.....

....from memory. There are several models with the designation 1950 but it refers to the case type and not the print on the dial. More than breakable, I would define the composite material....fragile. It can flake under some different conditions. It could

My favorites to this day are still the original California dial (249) and the original composite (339).

The 339 is one of the very few with “Marina Militare”, just make sure you find one that didn’t have problems with the composite material. Links below.

I was looking

Into 339 when it was announced, and the speculations with Marina Militare inscription. Had one on the wrist in Munich back then. Got opportunity again at HK auction, and now they are cheap as hell. Never warmed up to one. But on the other hand 232 is the

You're right...

..when it was announced, the 339 was a very sought after model. Heck, to get mine I had to do a somersault or two. I clinched the deal with my Panerai's pusher when I put cash and a brand new PAM411 Firenze, on the scales Lollllll The new material and the
