An owner's review on the Panerai PAM 5218 Marina Militare.

I already wrote a review on the Panerai PAM 5218, as soon as it was officially announced and shared my passion for this watch with you. Seeing it on line is one thing, being able to handle it and to see it in person is another thing, most of you know that

Nico, you must be one.....

of the 3 people that love the MN, in the world. Commercially, the MN line has been a fiasco (like the Chianti bottle, of old) my friend. Lollllllllllllllllll They stoned Panerai for the cheap Unitas movement. Imagine a cheap chrono one. That being said, i

My Panerai period was really a long time ago…. more than 20 years since I was deeply into it. These days it’s much less, although the 5218 did trigger my interest again. But something tells me (I could be completely wrong) that the Mare Nostrum came out i

Panerai Mare Nostrum PAM 8.

Still in love with this line, at the point I would gladly consider this one, the Pre Vendome 301/A or 304, and the huge PAM 300 or its titanium version, the PAM 603. Credit Antiquorum and our friend Jatuka. Best, Nicolas

Panerai Mare Nostrum Titanium PAM 603.

An incredible watch, big, very big ( 53 mm ) but light thanks to the titanium case. The dial is another great asset of this watch. Now, I would say the same thing than for the other Giant, the Big Egiziano... Make it in 47 mm case, and I am in!!! Best, Ni

Oh I love that plain bezel!

As much as I enjoyed the Mare Nostrum, I have to say: the bezel numerals are a bit odd. Though I suppose keeping the bezel plain is a bit odd, too. I suppose the whole watch is odd!

Panerai Mare Nostrum Slytech 5218-304.

I only saw a few, very few of them... 3 or 4, including my ex one. Credit unknown, but I will happily credit on request. I find it uber fascinating. Best, Nicolas

With pleasure, my friend. With pleasure.

That brushed octogonal bezel looks amazing. You know? I’ve found that I prefer the look of brushed bezels, like those on the 687, the Mare Nostrum, they just look gorgeous and add to the tool(ish) appearance of the watches. Enjoy your watches in good heal

Hello dear Nicolas! Agree with your comments about 008!

I found mine in 2017 with its original blue shark straps but regrettably sans box or papers. Anyway this doesn’t deters my enjoying this beautiful watch on my wrist! Cheers! Abel
