Rolex Submariner ref 6536/1 from 1958

Hi folks, Here is another one from my vintage diver collection. To have a comprehensive theme I wanted to have a "small crown" and a "big crown" Submariner alongside other early divers like the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms, the Breitling super Ocean, the Longi

Here is a Rolex Vintage mostly sports models Box reference list. Compiled from various sources so errors can sometimes be replicated. The early 1950-1960 boxes mostly did not have reference numbers and seemed to often be interchangeable among models. Use

Life wouldn’t be quite the same…

My vote goes to the 6536 small crown with no hash marks bezel.

I think the nato strap was used as a convenient fit assuming the bracelet was too big. Rolex 6536 no has marks bezel

Agree with you that it is always a thrill to view again a Bond film!

Specially those first ones with Connery as 007. You did a great job getting these pictures from the screen. Though all “Bond experts” agree that the watch was a 6538 Big Crown reference the clean no hash bezel is a mystery. Also why the watch is fitted wi
