Yes, definitely.

But I’ve recently realized that ALS is a brand that I admire more than I truly feel attracted to it. I think I could be attracted to the Cabaret or even the Arkade, but otherwise there’s always something kind of missing for me: the round “universal” case

Wonderful post - thank you!

It's always saddened me that ALS gave up on the Arkade and Cabaret when they did. Both were novel and distinctive. (Those cases! The shaped movements!) I treasure my Cabaret in "penguin" guise, and have long eyed the Arkade - WG (or is that platinum?), bl

This Grande Arkade meets some of your ideas,

except that it features even more Roman numerals... Thanks for your comment. The small Arkade isn't perfect, but I would like to see it in real life to see how good it looks and feels on the wrist. Best, Emmanuel credit: @watch.marco

Shouldn't this one be on my radar? (overview of the small Arkade)

The A. Lange & Söhne small Arkade , introduced in 1994 , is considered a lady's watch because of its very restrained dimensions : 22 x 29 x 8.7 mm, with a lug-to-lug of 36 mm and a lug width of only 14 mm. But when I see some photos of it, I can only conc

Arkade

I have small wrists (16cm/6.25”) so there’s no getting away from the fact that smaller watches tend to look better on me. That is only amplified by the fact that I am most “into” dress watches, of all types - which also tend to look better smaller (IMHO).

A cool and unique piece for sure. Love that it drips of early Lange dna as well. Though I think I prefer the grand arkade for the extra size / pop of distinction with the case. So unique for Lange. When they were teasing their release of a sports watch, m

Yeah it's obscure. The earliest Saxonias, with solid casebacks (102.001 and 102.002), used the Arkade movements.

Here are some other (old) photos. I don't recall the source.

Very seldom seen, in part due to its small size. But sometimes a square peg can be made to fit in a round hole...

... as with the early Saxonia fitted with Arkade movements.

Always a favorite, along with the seldom-seen Arkade...
