Will be a few years to vintage

I read that vintage is achieved at 30 years. This 3802J was made in 1998 which is a few years shy of that number. With a fresh service and new strap, I’m enjoying this one quite a bit, and the porcelain dial never fails to capture my attention. Sitting at

Very very nice

The classic designs, hobnail bezel and Roman numerals is a great combination, IMO. Sharing my close cousin to yours, the 3802. Just sent in to the spa last week and hopefully back in a couple of weeks.

A little gem I picked up on Sunday

Given that pretty much every forum and blog over the last month has been writing articles about the craziness of the steel sports watch market, mainly over Patek and Rolex, I think we can still find many, many more interesting alternatives instead of foll

Best Patek for Daily Wear?

Dear Forum, I've been thinking of consolidating my collection of typical daily wearers (Speedmaster, JLC Reverso Grande Taille, & Sea Dweller) and going for a simple Patek model like the 3919 or 3796 with the 215 manual movement or a basic automatic as in

Yes

Hi Kari, "Fond" is a French word meaning in that use "background" of the dial. So basically "fond blanc" means white background dial. "Porcelaine" is the name of a material, translated in English by "china", used for making dishes. I guess it means that i

Jim, I read your post and the responses so far and I

do agree that Patek should offer some level of flexibility with respect to some limited changes as they did not so long ago. There are reasons to allow this, the one that comes to mind immediately is dial changes. There are times, for example, when you ge
