I read that vintage is achieved at 30 years. This 3802J was made in 1998 which is a few years shy of that number.
With a fresh service and new strap, I’m enjoying this one quite a bit, and the porcelain dial never fails to capture my attention.
Sitting at home for the 7th week in lockdown and learning how to appreciate Korean dramas.

Quite impressive
With a porcelain dial, a date complication and automatic, it still fits into a very nice and slim package. Even 33mm doesn’t feel too small on the wrist.
Looks quite large on your wrist even
Perfect size, probably also because of the long lugs.
Those Korean dramas are actually very entertaining Richard
But I expect you will still be staring at your 3802 at every opportunity!
Staring at the 3802 while the drama is playing tells you which is more impressive ;-)
I just don’t know if I’m willing to give up 16 hours of my life for each one of these stories though.
That’s true. The 315 I think is a very good movement.
Just too bad it is not visible without a transparent case back.
Some people say it is too small for modern times
But I think it is actually just right.
