Vintage Rolex Box reference guide list 1950 to mid 2000's

Here is a Rolex Vintage mostly sports models Box reference list. Compiled from various sources so errors can sometimes be replicated. The early 1950-1960 boxes mostly did not have reference numbers and seemed to often be interchangeable among models. Use

Watches and Wonders 2023: Some thoughts on the Tudor Black Bay 54.

This year Tudor surprises us with a Black Bay GMT " Opaline " AND with a watch which is courageous, the Black Bay 54 with a... 37 mm case, defying all those who think that 37 mm is too small, and trying to demonstrate the contrary. Well, for those who thi

A few gratuitous shots of my 6205 Submariner

This one has all the indicators of being one of the very first Submariners including the absence of “Submariner “ on the dial due to unresolved legal issues before being released in 1954. My father bought this watch in 1954 for about $100. I need a time m

It is not the proper insert, 6205 6536 and 6538 might be higher in the desirability list of some purists and PuristS but...

...that 5508 would easily make my day for sure with no reserve and no regrets 😉 Of course some mythic references are above in the adrenaline list but with such a premium that it removes the pleasure imho as these become an object of speculation. Needless

A shot of one of the finest Rolex Submariner 5508 I'v seen.

The lugs are in superb shape, and the dial is just sublime. Ok, the insert is a later one, and would deserve something more appropriate, of course, but the crown has a " + ". Not much more to do to have a superb specimen. Now the question is to know if th

I fell in love with with this Submariner...

I saw in Phillips' Rolex Milestone auction preview in Singapore recently.. This particular one, the reference 6536 (not 6536/1) , some call it double reference (you'll see in the picture of the case back below), with a Red Depth print and in amazing condi

Great

Thanks, those look great, especially that first one! I really am just looking for a legitimate list of references. Like a chronological, one after another list of reference numbers so that I can research one after another in order. Example: Ref:6204(6200
