No. The "boutique's" model reference start with a 4....

...Florence 411 and so on. The 390 was "only" the first model that could ONLY be bought in a Panerai boutique (there were only a handful of them). A "special" edition acquirable in a boutique, by just walkIng in and asking for one, was unprecedented. All

Panerai 510 or 564

After the Rad 380 I would like to add a Luminor. Which of the two do you think I should add? The brilliance of steel or the different presence of titanium? How is the resistance of Panerai titanium to scratches?

Where do I go from here?

With all due respect to the wise and learned Paneristi of this site, I have to start my admitting that I never thought much of Panerai. Too big, too showy, etc. etc. etc., you've heard what people say, I don't need to repeat it. But last spring I took the

The 000 is one of those models....

that never tires you. Like "Old Faithful" everytime it erupts, people go uuuuuu-aaaaaaa. Since you mentioned the Pre-V models, have you ever considered replacing the 111 with a T-dialled 001A? I think you might like it and you don't have to sell a kidney

Back to the basics...

Pre Vendome still is out of my reach. But going back to - in my opinion - true Panerai DNA was a must besides my 111, 380 etc. When a close friend decided to sell his Luminor Base Logo full set (O series from 2012) I just had to get it...

To be honest....

I've never understood why they didn't make a..stronger..45mm Radiomir. Maybe they didn't want to mess around with the maison's history too much. In fact after the 210, the (for me) horrible 183 was followed by the one I still consider the most horrible PA

You're right....

but the idea of a..regular production..47mm Radiomir, must have scared be bejeezus out of the Swiss. That's why they created the 45mm line (210- 231-190-183-380) which went rather well. A 47mm Luminor 1950 "brute" is much more sellable, since all the..muc

Ehemmm the 217..even though..is a "Swiss job"....

has deep roots in Panerai history...1950 case that come straight from the 6152 and the Marina Militare The 380 is a shrank, defaced version of the 3646. Too small for everything they put on the dial, with a 9 missing and an...english...line that has nothi

I pesonally think that....

together with the PAM123 is the most horrible PAM ever produced (that's why I asked). The 123 wins only because of the date with cyclop. In a 45mm dial they JAMMED in 3 lines, one of which in english, the logo and the seconds dial. If you think that the p
