I've been in Miami all week for a work thing and had some meetings strategically close to the 1916 store. the standout piece for me was definitely the De Bethune JPS diver. I didn't realize that the outer bezel was so reflective. It looks great and the light-up feature is super cool. The other piece

In the Antiquorum auction held today in Hong Kong,

the Patek Philippe 5089G with the enamel Rousseau Lion was sold at HK$2,400,000 (excluding buyer's commission). It's a rare one out of 6 pieces made. Congratulations to the winning bidder. My humble Swatch watch next to the image.

Visit to the NYC Chopard Boutique . . .

Opportunity to see the new L.U.C XPS Prussian Blue: They also had the new L.U.C Strike One in Titanium: A much better fit on my wrist than the XPS Prussian Blue: The COSC-certified L.U.C 96.32-L delivers 65 hours of power reserve and features an 22K gold micro-rotor and the bridges decorated with Cô

Another look at Lang & Heyne collection . . .

Still quite tempted by the Georg: What is there not to like! And then, it was the Friedrich III’s: Absolutely love these Cathedral hands: Not the best look at the engine room with the plastic: This blue is absolutely stunning: But I prefer the Cathedral hands of S F’s piece:

Once again, where’s the second hand!😔 Absolutely love this strap combo. The price - not so much!🤬 I would buy the strap separately! Comparison shot next to the black lacquer dial iteration:

Amazing Purists GTG in NYC.

I had my 5712 and FPJ Automatique on the wrists (first time ever double wristing). Saw some amazing watches from fellow collectors. Thanks so much to Tony for organizing the lunch!

Crispy and clear as gilt opaline…

Or blackened salmon 🍣 . I like how this 5172G-010 looks and wears. The number contrast really pops. Patek Philippe certainly is a master on case design and the 29-535 PS movement is a class of its own. I actually like how the pushers feel too. When compared with the other famous Datograph, both are

New Watch in the House

A naive watch collector wandered into a GS Boutique (no intention of buying) and wandered out with this … I said, "It happens to the best of us, Art. You will be very happy with it (or easily swap it to one of us).” Mike
