Horological Meandering: Cesium clock, I think...

When I was a field engineer with a big government contractor many years ago, we had clocks like these for maintaining the time and date to the equipment I was working on. Extremely accurate. Thanks! ^_^

Automotive: I saw one 're-fueling'...

I saw one 're-fueling' (or rather recharging) at a local Walgreen's Pharmacy store that has an electrical recharge station. I wonder how long that takes? I still like the idea behind a plug-in version of a Toyota Prius, for example. I don't know, maybe I'm old school, but in our quest to become more

Jaeger-LeCoultre: He was a genius...

Interesting info on Mr. Chaplin on Wikipedia. I have family in Switzerland near Vevey, Chexbres, et Lausanne, and my Mom ('Maman') was from the Canton du Valais, and so I spoke French before I ever spoke English. I also had an aunt, Tante Marie-Angel, who worked for Omega in Bienne, and on one of my

WatchTech: Seiko uses Diashock system...

"The 7S26 uses Seiko's patented Diashock shock protection [3] on the balance pivots, has a soft, plastic spacer ring [4] closely integrated with the movement and a relatively low mass rotor [5] that is unlikely to bend or break even with very severe shocks" BTW, thanks! HAGWE! ^_^
