Rolex: Some advice for your red sub
I too own a red sub 1680 (1975?, serial 3,9XX,XXX) that i bought on Cape Cod at age 17. I was a new scuba diver and loved this watch through the dealer's glass case until i saved up enough to buy it. I strongly suggest you rotate the bezel aligning the pearl marker to approxiately 7 o'clock position
