Chopard: 42mm Chopard

Even though a bit big for my wrist, I quite enjoy this piece as my daily wearer. Looking forward to trying on the 41mm Patek 5236, I think that I could get away with it. Thoughts?

Patek Philippe: Elegance and Simplicity

I am a huge fan of watches with only two hands. Yours exudes understated elegance and simplicity yet shouts brilliance with its blue dial, gold hands and gold indices. IMHO, it would work well with both casual and business attire. Do you wear it daily?

Patek Philippe: Manual Wind 3520D

You might consider adding one of these to your collection. I always wear it with a white shirt: sometimes T-shirt, usually dress shirt.

Patek Philippe: BTW, Spartacus

I really like the Breguet numerals and hands on your piece. IMHO, they complement the shape of the case better than the Arabic numerals and railroad track of mine.

Patek Philippe: Thank you, Spartacus

Your photo reminds me of the 5040R which I used to own and am sorry to have let go. I miss it. In any case, I like tonneau a lot but am going rectangular with a Tank Louis Cartier and then circular with the 3940 (either R or J) to complete my modest collection.

Patek Philippe: Concave vs. Convex Bezel

CF, Thank you for your post comparing the 5140 with the 3940. Why do you refer to the bezel of the 3940 as being convex? I have seen neither the 3940 nor the 5140 up close and personal but have always thought that both are concave. Or is the 5140 more concave than the 3940? I am seriously considerin

Patek Philippe: All, I’m pleasantly surprised

that you responded to most post. FabR, I am particularly surprised that you remembered that I am awaiting a 5236 from my AD. Thank you all (y’all) for your thoughts. The more I think about it, the more I am inclined to go for the 3940 without even trying on the 5236; nevertheless, I’ll wait and see.

Patek Philippe: 36mm PC Revisited

Will Patek ever go back to a 36mm Perpetual Calendar? I hope so. I had to let go of this 5040R a few years ago; it fit my wrist quite well, and I am back in the market for a new piece. Seriously considering either a preowned or an NOS 3940, I wonder whether or not Patek will ever offer again a brand
