Then I guess I need to check again my Langes: all of them are larger and (except from one) all of them are post-2004 yet I haven't noticed these sleeves. I might have missed them because all the watches were white metals and I was looking for a (more) contrasting color (I expected them to use brass)

... the glittery strap is really a unique characteristic of this watch and it’s a pity to swap it. If you are looking for something less feminine yet still delicate and poetic you could consider the Emil Lange 1815 Moonphase 231.031 and 231.035 as suggested by CR, that are definitely masterpieces.
