Horological Meandering: i actually got to play with this model in person

It wears super well, in fact wears more like a 38-39mm, I think with the outer hour ring, it kind of acts like a traditional bezel ring so it draws the watch in smaller.

Horological Meandering: What are your thoughts on Trilobe?

The Une Folle Journee model they released this year has completely changed the look of their watches. Some have compared it to an MB&F LM101 but the price points and quality is clearly different. What's your take?

Patek Philippe: Personally...

I find the design of the 5170 to be better done than the 5070. You can tell from the subdial positions and thicker bezel that they had to compromise on these to fit that smaller movement into the larger 42mm case. You don't get that at all with the 5170 which is clearly a more cohesive package. Some

makes nice watches but I've owned both brands and personally I find the finishing of the LFs to be a notch above FPJ. Sometimes these things just take time. It's funny how one only wants the watches that are unbuyable and wishes they were the moment they're not.
