It went in for an assessment but also some "authentication" work, as a dealer I know raised some questions about its origin. It resulted in an all clear from Patek Philippe and an Extract from the Archive backing everything up that they examined and confirming what was on the Certificate of Origin.
3941s were made in the first four years of the reference as some customers wanted a clear caseback in order to see the movement. By 1990 the 3941 was stopped as the 3940 became regularly available with the sapphire crystal caseback.
It relieves the monotony of being home for 11+ Months. Being surrounded by my watches while being in the house all day long has certainly made me more interested in all of them
