I think it’s the opposite. The high end will be safe, your Rexhepis, vintage pateks, complicated Journes. I feel the more “generic” watches will continue to suffer as more and more sellers put them up for sale.
Very sad to hear that and how Lange has treated an esteemed collector like yourself in such a bad way. Honestly I love the Lange 1 design but I am also not that excited about buying their watches and all these hoops and stupidity. Many of their associates are not very charismatic too which is a sham
If I buy a lange from Osaka boutique, this WOnT count apparently if I buy something else in Tokyo boutique. but this is not a “Japanese” issue and a Richemont directive. If you approach any other boutique in any country they will tell you the same thing.

I just recently got a Lange 1 from a boutique here in Tokyo, like 2 weeks ago. I was able to credit back the tang buckle and pay the difference for a deployant if that helps.
