red would not be my choice...maybe fly yellow or the metallic blue. Have you ever driven one...they are a blast but really steer most like an old Austin Healey mkII 3000. Not my cup of tea as there are several quirks with the engine and all...but still great eye candy........hope you find one!
totally the dilemna. I find that 3 watches seems correct for myself...one has sentimental value (was my fathers) one is a complication (chrono) and one a simple everyday watch....that way I can be sure they are all worn on a weekly basis. For the French Air Force but never "deployed" . There are some with Luminova dials most with Tritium...and also a version that is black......here is its brother, with Luminova dial....these were sold until about 2007 or so as new.
I think there are many watches that are just "tool" watches and important that they function well and hold up.....mostly Rolex sport models fit this bill. As far as collection...well then I assume that something more "rare" is more interesting....like a vintage chrono, or maybe a military piece.....
